Dialogue with students on Energy Transition Policy

Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) organized a program named “Dialogue with students: CAB Proposed Energy Transition Policy-Environmental Protection-Consumers Right” in 08 September 2022 Thursday from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm, at Mini Conference Hall of TSC at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh.

An opening speech was given Mr. Alamgir Kabir, Founder of Green Voice and Joint Member Secretary of National Consumer Complain Handling Committee, CAB and moderated by Ayan De, a student of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. Engineer Shubo Kibria explained on CAB proposed Bangladesh Energy Transition Policy-2022 on detail. A detailed discussion held on the current status and future plans on the energy transition journey in Bangladesh. The Energy Transition Roadmap also elaborates on what we should do. An awareness discussion about consumer rights also held in this program.

In the presence of 80 teachers-students the various interesting questions of the students were also answered on the topics of consumer rights, energy conversion, renewable energy, environmental protection etc.

Professor Dr. Parvez Anwar, Professor Dr. Fauzia Sultana and others of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh were present in this discussion.

At the end of the discussion, the formation of ’Student Forum for Energy Transformation’ at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh branch primarily discussed.
